Financing
The EU Structural Funds through the Operational Program R & D for innovation, priority axis 1 – European Centres of Excellence is considered a major source of funding for CEITEC – managed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the call for projects was published 1.6.2009.
The objective of this call is the creation in the Czech Republic of a limited number of centres of excellence, i.e. research centres equipped with high-tech infrastructure with national and international significance. Excellent research results will be aimed at ensuring strategic partnerships with prestigious research institutes, both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Linking Czech R & D teams with leading international research organizations and the European research infrastructure will contribute to the development of human resources in research and attract qualified national and international researchers.
Applicants may submit project applications to the Ministry of Education until 16. November 2009 and may apply for a total of 17 billion CZK.
