University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno was founded as a Veterinary University in December 1918 as the first new University of the Czechoslovak State. Its conception and organization of teaching followed the Veterinary University in Vienna. The school consists of three faculties, which together total 28 institutes and 6 clinics.
