The Czechoslovak Microscopic Society every year gives the prize for significant merit for the development of microscopic methods on the occasion of its annual conferences. On the last one "MICROSCOPY 2018" held in Lednice in Moravia was awarded the current deputy director of innovation strategy at CEITEC BUT, Jiří Očadlík, from the hands of CSM Chairman Dušan Charvát. His plenary lecture "Discovering an Electron Microscope" was included in the conference program. The award is also associated with life-long honorary membership in society.
