The laboratory was established in 2012 with the aim of conducting experimental research in the field of computed tomography (micro- and nano-CT). Its research activities focus on the development and application of tomographic methods across various fields. The research group also develops micro-CT technology in collaboration with leading CT manufacturers worldwide. It works closely with industry, helping to address research and development challenges across a wide range of manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors through non-destructive testing. The laboratory is accredited by the Czech Accreditation Institute in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and can provide results compliant with industry standards, including P 201/VW 50097, P 202/VW 50093, SN EN ISO 9712, SN EN 4179, and ASTM E505, E155, and E446.
We offer non-destructive testing of finished products and prototypes, characterization of internal material structures, porosity and inclusion analysis, dimensional inspection, evaluation of geometric tolerances, component shapes and their positioning within assemblies, characterization and analysis of fiber-reinforced materials, foam structures and soldered joints, injection mold correction, optimization of additive manufacturing processes, and testing of components under operating conditions.
Our laboratory focuses on metrological research, software development for CT systems, advanced imaging techniques, computed tomography data processing, biology, tissue engineering, geology, and archaeology.
