RICAIP Testbed Brno is operated by the Cybernetics and Robotics research group of CEITEC University of Technology in Brno and is one of the three testing infrastructures of the RICAIP center. The research group has more than 15 years of tradition and about 60 employees. The research team has a wide range of expertise, including work with artificial intelligence, development of advanced sensors, control and communication technologies, electric drives and robotic systems.
The RICAIP project (Research and Innovation Centre on Advanced Industrial Production) began in 2019 with the aim of creating an international research center of excellence, a key entity building an artificial intelligence ecosystem for industrial production, a robotics testing infrastructure and developing the concept of Industry 4.0 on the European market. The center represents a bridge between academia, the commercial sector and government institutions, thus enabling the effective adaptation of the manufacturing industry to new opportunities offered by technological developments in the world.
RICAIP Testbed Brno was opened to the public in November 2022. The total area of RICAIP Testbed Brno is 631 m², but the research group also has other laboratories and a small testbed.
Thanks to co-financing from European funds from the Digital Europe program and the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, we offer our services at financially advantageous conditions.
