ABOUT US

We Investigate How to Create Nanostructures and Uncover Their Properties

Our research group focuses on four main areas: the fabrication of nanostructures using bottom-up methods, the fabrication of nanostructures using top-down methods (nanolithography), the investigation of the functional properties of nanostructures, and the development of analytical and measurement methods. These areas complement one another, allowing us to cover the entire process from the design and fabrication of nanostructures to their detailed characterization

OUR RESEARCH FOCUS

From Fabrication to Characterisation: The Four Pillars of Our Research

Our research covers the entire process of working with nanostructures – from their design and fabrication, through the investigation of their functional properties, to the development of methods that enable these properties to be precisely diagnosed. We combine a bottom-up approach, relying on the self-organized growth of nanoobjects, with top-down techniques, particularly nanolithography, which allows us to create structures with sub-10-nanometer precision
