ABOUT US

We Open New Possibilities in Magnetic Resonance

We investigate phenomena that have so far been difficult to capture or have remained entirely unexplored. Our research is highly multidisciplinary in nature and extends beyond the boundaries of individual fields. At CEITEC BUT, we carry it out within a highly international team that brings together experts from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa

RESEARCH GROUP LEADER

About Petr Neugebauer

Internationally recognized physicist, founder and head of a research group. As the first recipient of an ERC Starting Grant at BUT, he established a top-tier research facility focused on the development of advanced magnetic resonance methods. He has long been engaged in their development and applications in fundamental research

Our Own Spectrometers as a Key to New Discoveries

Our research is built on the development of our own experimental infrastructure, which we deliberately design and continuously refine in line with emerging methodological approaches. The goal of this effort is to enable experiments that are not typically accessible with standard spectrometers, while achieving a high degree of measurement flexibility and the ability to study a wide range of physical and chemical phenomena within a single facility

PRESENT AND FUTURE OF RESEARCH

Current Research Directions, Collaboration, and Future Perspectives

Building on the long-standing tradition of magnetic resonance in Brno, we continue to advance this field within the framework of contemporary fundamental research, while extending its reach toward related disciplines. Our objective is to achieve a deeper understanding of natural processes at the subatomic level, which requires the continuous refinement of measurement techniques and leads to increased sensitivity and acquisition speed
