A key focus of our research is the design of biodegradable biomaterials with controlled release of bioactive substances. These materials interact with cells, support their growth, and gradually degrade within the body, eliminating the need for surgical removal. As a result, they can effectively promote and support the body’s natural regenerative processes
Lucy Vojtová leads the Advanced Biomaterials Research Group at CEITEC Brno University of Technology. Her research focuses on the development of advanced biomaterials for regenerative medicine and the controlled release of bioactive substances
We develop advanced biomaterials, tissue models, and bioprinting technologies that enable drug testing without the use of animal models and open up new possibilities for treatment. Our goal is to translate research outcomes into clinical practice and facilitate the development of personalized implants and therapies for both human and veterinary medicine
