About event
I will present studies integrating and correlating many different microscopic approaches (optical, electron optical and x-ray) to the study of a practical problem regarding skeletal changes in Thoroughbred racehorses in training and racing. The findings have great relevance for understanding changes in bone and bones and joint tissues in man – rather more so than the multitudinous studies on the most popular and irrelevant ‘model’ – the mouse or rat. I will emphasise that one cannot understand the 3D complexities of tissue structures without understanding their development.
