The aim of the project is to extend the research capacity of the Institute of Experimental Botany of the Czech Academy of Sciences and 2 partners from the South Moravian Region (Mendel University and Masaryk University - CEITEC) in the field of experimental plant biology. An additional objective of the project is to support research by increasing the efficiency of these research centers and maintaining the internationally competitive quality of research in terms of its originality and practical impact. This will be achieved through the concentrated support of the research plan, related research team, and material and technical equipment.
In connection with achieving internationally competitive research quality, the internationalisation of research and collaboration building with foreign research partners will be supported, which will lead to the creation of new top scientific results (e.g., publications, patents, etc.) and the submission of joint project proposals to prestigious international grant competitions (e.g., Horizon 2020, EURATOM, etc.). The project will significantly increase the quality and potential of current research in experimental plant biology (e.g., number of high-quality publications and applied results, participation in international projects, etc.) and will enable the ability to reach a critical size of the research team that can be successful in the international environment.
