Bio
Petr Mokroš is the head of the Plant Sciences Core Facility at CEITEC Masaryk University, where he focuses on advanced cultivation technologies and the study of plant responses to stress conditions. He also provides expert support to laboratory users and oversees the management of complex technologies, monitoring trends in cultivation methods and ensuring the implementation of innovations so that researchers from the Czech Republic and abroad have access to cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
He studied botany with a specialization in plant cytogenetics and, before joining CEITEC, worked at the Institute of Biophysics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where he focused on molecular methods and plant cultivation. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience in building and managing greenhouses and phytotrons, which he applies in running the laboratory.
