About event
Have you ever thought about learning data analysis in Python? Do you want to explore biomedical data and create compelling visualizations? This 3-hour intensive workshop is designed to break down the barriers to learning data science skills in Python, providing you with practical experience on 'what can be done' and build the confidence to analyze complex datasets. You’ll follow a step-by-step process of exploratory data analysis in Python, from loading and preparing data to performing statistical analysis and generating insights.
This foundation will empower participants interested in learning data analysis in Python to use essential tools and libraries, such as Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib and SciPy for exploratory data analysis. The workshop will also introduce the basics of machine learning in Python, offering participants insights into binary prediction models and key metrics for predictive performance.
Hosted by Imrich Berta from Data Science Academy
Imrich, a graduate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, has extensive experience in healthcare data and development of machine learning models for disease prediction. Currently working as a consultant to the Slovak government on cancer epidemiology and public health, he is advancing public health through data science and epidemiological research. As a co-founder of Data Science Academy, Imrich is committed to build an interdisciplinary community focused on empowering non-maths graduates. The Academy delivers comprehensive 5-day bootcamps and specialised courses.
