This semester, we are delighted to host four invited speakers from both Czech republic and abroad, covering various inspiring career paths from academia towards industry.
All PhD and pre-gradual students are very welcome to register the official BIOTOP course "DSBIOP BIOTOP - BIOtech Talks tO PhD".
Seminars are open to broad public, therefore even if you do not plan to register the official BIOTOP course, you can attend the seminars. In that case, please use the registration form listed below.
Programme
Daniel Couto leads the Molecular Interactions Team at CSL Behring’s Research Department in Switzerland, where he drives early-phase drug discovery for rare diseases and supports preclinical research programs. Daniel seeks to advance therapeutic drug discovery by integrating his knowledge in molecular biology, structural protein biochemistry, and biosensor analytics. He earned his PhD from The Sainsbury Laboratory at the University of East Anglia (UK), where he focused on plant innate immunity, and received further structural biology training during a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Geneva. Daniel is passionate about scientific discovery as well as mentoring the next generation of researchers.
