Gender Equality and Diversity at CEITEC MUNI

CEITEC Masaryk University (CEITEC MUNI) is committed to fostering an inclusive, fair and respectful research environment where all talents can thrive. Gender equality and diversity are integral to scientific excellence, responsible research practice and sustainable institutional development.

Our Commitment

CEITEC MUNI has been systematically addressing gender equality since 2016, when we introduced our first institutional Gender Equality Plan. CEITEC MUNI was among the early adopters of a structured Gender Equality Plan internationally, building long-term expertise in implementing institutional change in this area.

Gender equality and diversity are embedded in the core values of CEITEC MUNI, including equal opportunities, inclusiveness, transparency and fairness, as defined in the Strategic Plan 2021–2028.

The Strategic Plan links human resources development and the HR Excellence in Research Award with the implementation of gender equality principles, ensuring that these commitments are integrated into institutional governance and development priorities.
