Registration Workshop

ImgLib2 and BigDataViewer Hackathon Prague

About event

This hackathon is intended for both newcomers and experienced developers and will include a learnathon part during the first days. Participants are free to work on any topic related to ImgLib2 and/or BigDataViewer, be it improving the core libraries, or using them in other projects. Our aim is that the hackathon will be a melting pot of ideas where you will have the opportunity to work alongside, and learn from experienced developers and mentors, helping you to move forward with your own image processing and visualization projects.

We especially invite new developers, who are interested in using and/or contributing to this community - either developing existing or new tools or handling data using above mentioned or related software. This hackathon could be for you, even if you have no or limited previous experience using these software. Prior experience of programming (ideally Java but not strictly limited to that programming language) is however a requirement. This hackathon aims to provide an inclusive platform where everyone can thrive. We therefore actively encourage people from all backgrounds to apply. Please, apply below to join us in Prague in April.

To apply, please share with us (on less or around half a page) your programming experience, what you are currently working on and how this hackathon could help you and your project(s). Please also mention what you would like to work on or contribute during the hackathon. You are welcome to think big ;-)

The hackathon is fully booked. Registration is now closed, and only substitute positions on the waiting list are available. If you want to register on the waiting list, please write to: ulman@fi.muni.cz.

(We have unfortunately a limited number of spots available on-site.)
