Isolation threatens to increase scientific inbreeding, says Scientific Secretary of CEITEC Masaryk University Nikola Kostlanova. We run the risk that existing scientific positions will not be filled with the most expert candidates available at this time. The best way to minimise inbreeding is a long-term stay abroad.
