In its activities, CEITEC VUT processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) and in accordance with other legal regulations.

Lawfullness of processing personal data

The most common legal grounds for processing personal data at CEITEC VUT are the fulfillment of public university tasks in the public interest and the fulfillment of legal obligations. Other legal grounds for processing personal data may include the fperformance of a contract, the consent of the data subject, and the legitimate interest of CEITEC VUT.

The controller does not transfer personal data to third countries or international organizations.

Personal data processing period

Personal data is processed at CEITEC VUT in electronic systems only for the time necessary for the given purpose and in accordance with the performance of the contract.

Rights of data subjects and their exercise

The data subject has the right to request from the personal data controller (hereinafter also referred to as the "data controller") access to personal data, their modification or deletion, or restriction of processing. Furthermore, they have the right to object to processing and the right to personal data portability.

Requests in which the data subject exercises the rights referred to in the previous sentence may be delivered in person to Purkyňova 656/123, 612 00 Brno, or by email to is.ceitec@ceitec.cz. Such requests will be assessed and handled in accordance with the GDPR and other applicable legal regulations.

The data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, which is the Office for Personal Data Protection, that the processing of their personal data violates the General Data Protection Regulation.
