Programme
Ralf received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics at the Goethe University Frankfurt (Germany). After his Master he started his PhD at the Johannes Gutenberg University and the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) in Mainz (Germany) from 2012 until 2016.
His research focus was the computational analysis of nucleotide modifications in RNA based on reverse transcription & deep sequencing at the Institute of Pharmacy & Biochemistry.
After completing his PhD in 2016, he continued as a Postdoc Researcher at the Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg with the focus on machine Learning, Data Mining, Nucleic Acids Research, Software Engineering and Biostatistics.
In 2017 he left the lab for industry and started as Head of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence at SVA System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH. The role was in Big Data Analytics & IoT Department, Competence Center Lead: Deep Learning, NLP, I4.0.
After that he changed in 2020 until 2021 to AOE GmbH Wiesbaden (Germany) as the Director of Data Science & AI focusing on Business Strategy, Product Design Lead and Solution Marketing.
And finally, after founding the AI4Charity Aschaffenburg (Germany) in 2018, he now works there in his current position as Founder and CXO for Financial Data Science & AI, Investment Strategy and Charity.
But Ralf’s interests do not stop at RNA Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence. He is also a keen sportsman, an award-winning musician, a hobby movie maker and has even served in local politics for several years.
