Group Retreat 2025

Group Retreat 2025

Our research group consists of both Czech and international members, which gives it a unique international dimension. Colleagues come from countries such as Ireland, Croatia, the United States, Spain, and others. This cultural and professional diversity creates an inspiring environment where different perspectives, experiences, and approaches to scientific work come together. For this reason, it is important for our team to meet regularly outside the usual work environment, strengthen collaboration, and reflect together on the progress we have made. The annual retreat has therefore become an integral part of our group’s activities—it provides an opportunity not only to relax, but above all to engage in deeper discussions about the past year, share results, and plan future steps. Our research group has recently returned from this year’s retreat, which took place in the picturesque surroundings of the Beskydy Mountains. During the two-day meeting, we hiked together to the summit of Radhošť, enjoyed the mountain landscape, and gathered inspiration for the year ahead.

Group Retreat 2024

In 2024, our team gathered for a two-day working retreat in the wine-growing region of Přítluky, in the heart of South Moravia. The meeting brought together members of our group along with collaborators from Croatia and Austria, creating a truly international and interdisciplinary atmosphere. The program was rich and intensive. Over the course of two days, we presented ongoing research, discussed experimental progress, and reflected on current challenges within our projects. The setting provided an ideal balance between focused scientific exchange and informal discussions, which often led to more creative ideas. The retreat was not only a platform for scientific progress but also an important step in strengthening our international collaboration. It helped clarify shared goals and provided new motivation for the next phases of our research.
