Pavel Veselý has been working as PI at CEITEC - Central European Institute of Technology, Brno University of Technology, Czech Republic, since 2011. His main interest had been in study of cancer metastasis, a property that distinguishes malignant from benign tumours. Investigation of the role of cancer cell motility in the manifestation of cancer invasion and metastasis led to the interest in exploiting hiQPI microscopy invented at Ceitec BUT and finally to the development of a notion of migrastatics a new concept of cancer therapeutic harnessing. He received MUDr (MD) from the Charles University, Prague, and CSc (PhD) from the Institute of Experimental Biology and Genetics, Czechoslovac Academy of Science.
