REMAP - Regulation and manipulation of plant meiosis
- Principal Investigator: Mgr. Karel Říha, Ph.D.
- Acronym: REMAP
- Project type: PO 1 Strengthening capacities for the high-quality research
- Implementation period: 1. 1. 2017 – 31. 10. 2022
- Budget: 96 941 543 CZK
The goal of the project is to understand the mechanisms that define meiotic division and gamete differentiation in plants; part of the effort will be establishing technologies allowing in vitro differentiation of male gametes, live imaging of meiosis and the manipulation of meiotiv processes. The project complements the current activities of CEITEC, contributes to interdisciplinariry, international coolaboration in the research centre and has strong application potential in plant breeding.
