On Thursday, 9 October 2025, CEITEC will welcome 50 postdoctoral researchers from the Vienna BioCenter (VBC) – one of Europe’s leading life science hubs. Their visit is part of the VBC Annual Postdoc Retreat and offers a great opportunity to connect with talented peers, exchange ideas, and showcase our research.
A highlight of the visit will be a joint poster session in the CEITEC Atrium (14:00–16:00).
- All CEITEC postdocs and PhD students are warmly invited to attend.
- Up to 20 CEITEC researchers will have the chance to present a poster (due to limited poster board capacity).

The session will take place in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere – with beer and snacks kindly provided by our VBC guests. Don’t miss this opportunity to network and share your science!
Programme
- 11:00–11:30 - Welcome & Introductions (CEITEC & VBC)
- 11:30–12:00 - Ice-breaking activity (organised by VBC postdocs)
- 12:00–13:00 - Core Facility tours (VBC postdocs)
- 13:00–14:00 - Lunch at Campus River Restaurant (for VBC postdocs)
- 14:00–16:00 - Poster session in the CEITEC Atrium for all (with snacks & beer)
- Afterwards – Mendel Lecture and informal beer with our guest
