Calibration Standards for Quantitative Magnetic Force Microscopy - Chances and Pitfalls

Reliable measurement procedures and tracebility chain are necessary for a direct link back to the defined quantity. Our goal is to develop calibration procedures using standard MFM equipment together with traceable magnetic standards which enable such a calibration in in nano- and micrometer length scales. We will present problems which commonly influence the reliabiliy of such
measurements and demonstrate their solutions using hardware and software tools such as SPM software Gwyddion.
