About event
We cordially invite everybody to the first edition of CEITEC Talks.
Our students will present their research topics in a clear, approachable, and compelling way, drawing inspiration from the TED Talk format.
CEITEC Talks are aimed at fostering cooperation and increasing awareness of CEITEC science (not only) among students.
Everyone is welcome, no registration necessary.

Title: A Chemical Compass for Microrobots
Across biology, chemical cues serve as a universal mechanism for navigation. This phenomenon, known as chemotaxis, guides everything from bacteria tracking nutrient gradients to larger organisms relying on smells to interpret their surroundings. This talk explores artificial chemotaxis, discussing how we equip synthetic micro/nanorobots with a "chemical compass" to autonomously navigate chemical gradients.

Title: Bleeding, Biomaterials, and the Race Against Time
When bleeding starts, the body immediately enters a race against time. A wound dressing may look simple, but it can be designed to do much more than cover an injury. By interacting with blood and supporting clot formation, smart biomaterials could help control bleeding faster and improve the way we treat wounds when every second matters.
