This three-day workshop, organized by CELLIM in cooperation with Specion and Leica, will introduce participants to lifetime-based bioimaging approaches and their applications in cells, tissues, and plant samples.
The workshop will combine theoretical lectures, software demonstrations, and hands-on practical sessions using the Leica STELLARIS 8 FALCON microscope. The first day will be dedicated to invited lectures, an introduction to FLIM-based imaging, and a basic demonstration of the Leica STELLARIS 8 FALCON system and LAS X software.
The following two days will focus on practical microscopy sessions. Selected sessions will demonstrate specific FLIM applications, including the use of the FLipper-TR sensor and fluorescence lifetime-based multiplexing in plant samples. Additional practical sessions will be demonstrative and will provide participants with the opportunity to test their own samples on the system.
To support participants who wish to bring their own samples, a short online sample preparation webinar will be organized before the workshop. This webinar will provide practical guidance on sample requirements, preparation strategies, and suitability for FLIM imaging.
The workshop is intended for researchers already interested in FLIM, FLIM-FRET, and quantitative lifetime-based imaging, as well as for those who would like to learn more about FLIM and explore whether it could be implemented in their own research.
