About event
Internationality is at the core of science. Open sharing of information, approaches and discoveries across borders, not only of countries, but also disciplines and social groups, is what advances science forward. However, science is also the people participating in it, who all have their own unique local circumstances. At this year’s edition of the traditional Czexpats in Science Christmas Conference, for the first time in English, we will take a look at how the local circumstances of the Czech Republic interplay with the internationality of scientific endeavor and how we can embrace both to the benefit of everyone.
WHO IS THE CONFERENCE FOR?
- Czech scientists working abroad who are coming to Czechia for Christmas break,
but also for
- Czech scientists who have already returned from abroad – because their stories can be a great inspiration,
- Czech scientists who are just about to leave – because they are the future czexpats, but at the moment they may have a lot of questions that can be answered at the conference,
- Czech scientists who want to meet the international community,
- International scientists working in Czechia – because they have a unique perspective on the Czech scientific environment,
- students who are currently studying for their bachelor’s or master’s degree abroad – because they too can join the ranks of czexpats,
- representatives of institutions involved in linking Czech and foreign science – because they can help.
