Doctoral Studies Coordinator
The Doctoral Studies Coordinator provides support to doctoral researchers throughout their PhD journey at CEITEC MU. The position is part of the Research and Innovation Support Department and serves as a contact point for PhD candidates, supervisors, and the wider CEITEC community.

How can the PhD Coordinator help?
The PhD Coordinator facilitates communication between doctoral researchers, supervisors, academic staff, administrative teams, and the CEITEC MU management. Acting as a trusted point of contact, the PhD Coordinator is available to discuss challenges that may arise during doctoral studies and to help identify appropriate support or next steps.
The PhD Coordinator also:
- supports career development and transferable skills training,
- coordinates the CEITEC MUNI Training Portal and the CEITEC PhD School website,
- serves as the primary contact for the Thesis Advisory Committee (TAC) concept,
- supports the CEITEC PhD Candidates' Committee and community-building activities,
- collaborates with Doctoral Boards and CEITEC PhD School managers to continuously improve doctoral education.
Meet the Coordinator

The position is currently held by Michaela Fajkusová, who joined CEITEC MU in 2023. Michaela has a background in Biology and Mathematics and previous experience in doctoral studies, giving her first-hand insight into the opportunities and challenges of academic research. Through her role, she supports doctoral researchers from their first days at CEITEC MU until graduation and works to strengthen the overall quality of the doctoral experience. |
