Description:
The ASD2000-2-40 high-speed dynamometer has a maximum power output of 2 kW and is designed for precise testing of small electric motors operating at very high speeds. It allows motors to be loaded at speeds of up to 40,000 RPM. The maximum torque is 1.6 Nm at 12,000 RPM, 0.96 Nm at 20,000 RPM, and 0.21 Nm at maximum speed. A key design parameter is the low moment of inertia of 0.0003 kg·m²; therefore, the dynamometer can track rapid speed changes with high precision. The measurement and precise control of torque or rotational speed enable testing not only under steady-state conditions but also during transient phenomena such as speed ramps, reversals, or rapid load changes. Thanks to these features, the dynamometer is primarily intended for applications in the development and validation of high-speed BLDC, PMSM, or slotless motors, which are found, for example, in robotic drives, hand tools, or aerial UAVs. It is also used for tuning motor control algorithms that are part of inverters.
