Brno will get a premium view to the science fiction of the present. On Friday 25th September, at Tržnice you will be able to see all the great inventions we have spent years working on at the Future Energy and Innovation Lab from CEITEC VUT. And to make it even better, you will even be able to play with some of them.
Here at the Future Energy and Innovation Lab are very proud to be able to show all our work one more year. We were so excited about Science Night that we even started early! We will be waiting for you on the 25th, but you can get ahead and see all our latest discoveries and prototypes throughout the whole month of September at Tržnice Brno center. The exposition is ongoing, so make sure to visit it first, get your curiosity going and we’ll love answering all questions you have on Science Night. Be the first to discover:
Clothes that can tell you how healthy you are. With our smart textiles, you can track your physical activity, stress levels, and someday maybe even skip the needles when going for a check at the doctor. Watch our mannequins dress the latest fashion in wearable sensors.
Robots, so tiny you can’t see them with just your eyes. Take this opportunity to play with them, solve the maze driving our magnetic nanorobots! Learn how they are revolutionizing medicine, beer production and environmental cleaning. Use this chance to ask our researchers how these tiny assistants are made and work.
Come see a live 3D-printer working. But this one doesn’t just print figurines, it’s printing the electronic devices that power smart clothes, energy generators, moon bases and beyond.
Discover how we are working to make energy more green, safe and clean. This is the perfect opportunity to teach about the importance reducing pollution and what hopes lie ahead for all of us.
Finish in awe, looking into the night sky and witnessing how the small yet critical parts of space exploration are being built. See the materials they are made from, the moon dust reused to power the future lunar habitats. Try on a space suit while looking for our little space explorer friend.

Czech Science Night is once again part of the European Researchers' Night, a pan-European event supported by the European Union with the aim of connecting science and society and increasing young people's interest in science. This year, the Science Night was also supported by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions program with the WAAITT project within the framework of the HORIZON-MSCA-2025-CITIZENS-01 call.
