The unavailability of clinical material is an obstacle faced by many researchers. This may be because they may not have known about biobanks. What is it and why is it a good idea to apply for samples and data of excellent quality directly from biobanks - specialised sites for the long-term storage of biological material? This talk will introduce BBMRI.cz, a large research infrastructure focused on collection, processing, storage and provision of biospecimens. You will also learn how and where to search for biospecimens, how to apply for biospecimens online and "success stories" of biospecimen use in research put into practice.
