The CEITEC Bioelectronics research team is seeking an outstanding applicant for a scientific position as a postdoctoral research fellow. The postdoctoral scholar shall work with noninvasive electric neuromodulation on human subjects, in particular exploring novel high-frequency (>1 kHz) waveforms. The research will feature deployment of biomedical devices for neural recording/stimulation. Collaboration with materials and device engineers on one side, as well as clinical researchers on the other, is critical. Close collaboration with neuroscientists working on pre-clinical models is also envisioned.

  • Ability to carry out research projects independently, interpret data, and contribute to preparation of manuscripts.
  • Excellent team working skills, self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
  • Ability to exploit CEITEC core facilities and laboratories (mafil.ceitec.cz).
  • Act as a source of information and advice to other members of the group on scientific protocols and experimental techniques.
  • Ability to design and perform experiments on human subjects.

Requirements

We are looking for highly-motivated researcher with a PhD in biomedical engineering, biomedical science, neuroscience, or related discipline:

  • The applicant must have a proven track record in scientific research, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
  • Educational background neuroscience, or related discipline required.
  • Experience with 1) human neuroscience, 2) electrophysiology; preferred.
  • Good communications skills and written and spoken English are required.
  • A PhD degree is not required at time of application, however proof of successful completion of a PhD program must be provided upon beginning employment.
