Meet Mgr. Tereza Dobisová, Ph.D., the scientist and entrepreneur whose journey from molecular biology and genetics to technology development is truly inspiring. Her love for plant science and genetics led her to found Labdeers, a company that specializes in plant science technology development with the emphasis on seed phenotyping. With great developers, SW engineers, electrical engineers and HW engineers, Labdeers creates valuable products and services for plant scientists. Today, her company is one of the most successful in the field, providing valuable products and services to plant scientists worldwide.
Tereza's journey began with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Masaryk University Brno, CZ. During her studies, she gained valuable experience in both the private and research sectors, in both applied and basic research. Her love to technology and development emerged during internships at VIB Ghent in Belgium and POSTECH (Korea), where she learned and later implemented state-of-the-art molecular techniques and plant phenotyping methods in CEITEC laboratories.

Tereza's research in plant science has resulted in several peer-reviewed publications. In Labdeers, Tereza is using her expertise to help other scientists with their research. Her company's Seed Phenotyping Centre offers specialized services that enable researchers to analyze, sort and understand the genetic background of seeds and a role of seeds' traits in further plant growth and development.
She believes that innovation and technology are crucial driving forces for scientific progress and that entrepreneurs have a vital role to play in shaping the future of research. The term technology-driven science should resonate across research fields.
