Prof. Pavel Václavek leads the Cybernetics and Robotics Research Group at CEITEC Brno University of Technology and coordinates the research programme Technical Cybernetics, Instrumentation and Systems Integration. He also holds academic positions at CEITEC BUT and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, where he is actively involved in teaching. An important part of his work is the development of the RICAIP Testbed Brno infrastructure, which provides a state-of-the-art environment for developing and testing Industry 4.0 technologies.
His research focuses on cybernetics, automation, intelligent control systems, and advanced technologies for the industry and mobility of the future. By bridging academic research with industrial practice, he develops innovative solutions in electromobility, autonomous systems, robotics, and the digitalisation of manufacturing.
His work integrates robotics, automation, machine perception, and intelligent control systems to create safe, energy-efficient, and sustainable technologies for next-generation industrial and mobility applications.
