Open Science in the Context of Research Data Management

Research Data Management and Data Management Plan (DMP) creation is becoming more and more important not only for H2020 grants proposals, but also for everyday scientific practice. This lecture will present the basic concepts of research data management from the Open Science / sharing of research article in accordance with the principle „as open as possible, as closed as necessary“, that is current state of art approach towards effective and controlled sharing of research data in the European context. Lecture will be theoretical with discussion part and also with introduction towards services of newly established Open Science support mechanisms at Masaryk University. There will be following lecture on 26.11. about the practical aspects of Data Management Tools. It is not necessary to attend both lectures, neither are prerequisites one to the other.

This training has a limited capacity of maximum 20 participants and is mostly recommended for Research Group Leaders, Core Facility Leaders, PhD students and Postdocs. If you are interested in participating in this training, contact your Research Group Leader, Core Facility Leader or Training Manager.
