The director of the CEITEC Brno University of Technology is opening a position of a

Postdoctoral Research Fellow: “Chemist/Materials Scientist for Development of Biosensors or Sensors based on Single Atom Engineering”

Postdoktorand – Chemik / Materiálový vědec pro vývoj biosenzorů nebo sensorů na bázi jednoatomového inženýrství

 

 

Prof. Martin Pumera, Group leader at CEITEC (Pumera research team: www.pumera.org; future.ceitec.cz. CEITEC: nano.ceitec.cz) is looking for an experienced chemist or materials scientist with skills in biosensors, chemical sensors. Know-how of analytical chemistry/sensing is essential. You will have the unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art SEM, TEM, UHV STM systems, GC/MS, XPS, and ALD as well as with 3D printing systems (see nano.ceitec.cz).

 

Requirements

We are looking for highly motivated researcher with a strong background in electrochemistry and materials.

  • PhD in chemistry or related background.
  • Sound understanding to analytical chemistry concepts.
  • Previous experience with sensors or biosensors or materials development.
  • Materials preparation and characterization techniques hands-on experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to carry out the research projects independently, interpret the data and write manuscript.
  • Excellent team working skills, self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
  • Ability to exploit CEITEC BUT core facilities and laboratories (nano.ceitec.cz).
  • Act as a source of information and advice to other members of the group on scientific protocols and experimental techniques.

Employment Conditions
