Senior researcher: Bioelectronic devices (R3)

We are looking for a highly-motivated researcher with a PhD in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, applied physics/materials science, or related discipline:

• The applicant must have a proven track record in scientific research, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.
• Educational background in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, or related discipline required.

• Experience with 1) clinical neurosciences, and 2) electrophysiology recording, 3) neuromodulation 4) biosignal processing.

• Good communications skills in written and spoken English and Czech are required.
• A PhD degree is not required at time of application, however proof of successful completion of a PhD program must be provided upon beginning employment.

• Access to state-of-the-art neurostimulation equipment.
• Access to electrophysiology experiments: neural stimulation and recording.
• Existing collaborations with clinical neurology.
• A well-established international collaboration network in biomedical research.
• Support of team members with diverse scientific backgrounds.

• Ability to carry out research projects independently, interpret data, and contribute to preparation of manuscripts.
• Excellent team working skills, self-motivation, initiative and persistence.
• Ability to exploit CEITEC BUT core facilities and laboratories (nano.ceitec.cz).
• Act as a source of information and advice to other members of the group on scientific protocols and experimental techniques.
• Mentor younger trainees.
• Assist in preparation and submission of funding applications from the public and private sector.
• Ability to design and perform human neuroscience and in vivo animal experiments.

• Detailed CV including list of publications.

• Anticipated start date: 01.01.2027.
