Molecular simulations offer spatiotemporal resolution beyond the reach of nearly all experimental techniques. In this talk, we will talk about the scientific principles underpinning this in silico tool, trace their discovery and development over centuries, and demonstrate what today makes molecular simulations a helpful tool to tackle complex biological questions.

This is a special MUNI Day edition of the Sip of Science - seminar series organized by the Postdoc and Ph.D. Committees in coordination with the CEITEC MU administration, which includes a 20-minute TED talk-like presentation delivered by postdoctoral researchers and (senior) Ph.D. students representing scientific groups and core facilities from CEITEC MU. The presentation is followed by a 10-minute long discussion and informal networking.
