Funding
PhD candidates at CEITEC PhD School receive a regular income guaranteed for the standard 4-year study period, provided they meet their study obligations. For the academic year 2025/2026, the guaranteed net monthly income is CZK 24,960 (approx. EUR 1,000). With good academic performance, this income can increase annually by 1,000 CZK up to the 4th year of study.
On top of the guaranteed income, every PhD candidate within the standard study duration receives a monthly CEITEC scholarship of CZK 2,500 (approx. EUR 100).
In addition to this guaranteed support, students have several opportunities to secure additional funding:
- Brno Ph.D. Talent: Each year, a number of CEITEC PhD School students are awarded this prestigious grant, which provides substantial extra funding for their research projects.
- Jaroslav Koča Bridge Fund: This internal CEITEC funding scheme supports interdisciplinary research projects and promotes collaboration across different scientific fields.
- Vladimír Sklenář Scholarship: This scholarship is designed to support talented PhD students advancing research in NMR technologies.
