New at CEITEC — or joined between March and October, 2026? Join Welcome on Board, CEITEC’s new Welcome Day concept. It’s designed to help you get oriented, understand how things work across the institute, and build your internal network by connecting you with key people, services, and opportunities across CEITEC.
- For whom: All new employees who started working at CEITEC since March 2026
- Capacity: min. 15 / max. 80 participants. If fewer than 15 people register, the event will not take place.
- Language: English
- Bring your own mug: Feel free to bring your own mug for coffee/tea (we’d love to reduce waste). Cups will also be available.
Highlight: Intercultural Communication Workshop (Brno Expat Centre) A safe, supportive session focused on everyday collaboration and adaptation. We will:
- Create space to talk about what it’s like to be new (in a new institution and/or country) — including the “awkward” feelings that are part of adapting
- Make “work culture” easy to understand (not just nationality — also communication styles, time, hierarchy, responsibility) and how it shows up in daily work
- Learn about simple skills to avoid misunderstandings (how to ask for clarification, check understanding, and handle language barriers)
