Description:
The ASD S050-4 dynamometer is designed for the development and testing of electric motors in the mid-power range. It has a maximum power output of 50 kW, a speed of up to 6,000 RPM, and a torque curve of 312 Nm at 1,530 RPM, 175 Nm at 2,840 RPM and 40 Nm at 6,000 RPM. Thanks to its wide torque and speed range, it enables the testing of traction motors, industrial drives, and variable-load systems. The dynamometer is capable of accurately simulating operating conditions such as start-ups, acceleration, regenerative braking, or uphill loads, making it ideal for light to medium-duty electric mobility applications.
Thanks to the integrated battery simulator with an output of 700 V and 400 A, it is possible to test not only the motor itself but also the entire electric drive system—including the inverter, control unit, and energy management system. The simulator can be configured to replicate various voltage profiles, current limits and fault conditions, thereby verifying the system´s functionality, efficiency and safety strategies. Typical areas of application include testing in automotive development, tuning control algorithms, calibrating regenerative braking, or validating control strategies under varying operating conditions.
