Description:
The MOOG linear dynamometer is a specialized testing device designed for the development, validation, and optimization of linear electric drives and actuators. It feautures a 4.7-meter stroke, a maximum travel speed of 15 m/s, a force capacity of up to 10 kN, and a position measurement accuracy of 10 μm, is a specialized testing device designed for the development, validation, and optimization of linear electric drives and actuators. Thanks to its design, it enables the simulation of precise load profiles in both directions of motion—for example, when testing reciprocating mechanical systems, linear motors, electromagnetic brakes, or railway actuators. High measurement accuracy and controlled loading enable detailed evaluation of the force, position, speed, and dynamics of the tested devices, which is essential for tuning control, minimizing mechanical losses, and ensuring repeatability. The system also includes a battery simulator with an output of 700 V and 400 A, which allows inverters to be powered under real-world conditions without the use of physical batteries.
