Petr Těšina, Ph.D.

Research topic: Translation Control

Main research interest: Structure and interactions of ribonucleoprotein complexes involved in translation control; Aberrant translation control in neurodegeneration Host-pathogen interactions in translation control

Link to the research group profile:

Our research aims at providing mechanistic understanding including target recognition and molecular interactions of translation control processes, defining working principles of RQC components and their disease-causing mutations in neurons and revealing the molecular mechanisms by which viruses affect host translation control.

In 2023, Dr. Těšina was awarded the ERC Starting Grant.
