Biophotonics Core Facility

Internal academic users

Users who wish to use the laboratory (by themselves (self-service) or with the assistance of an employee (full-service)) must prove affiliation to an academic institution. This type of service allows users open access to the Biophotonics laboratories. The users can pay for individual measuring times on selected devices and work in a tissue culture laboratory or pay for annual unlimited access (see table). However, the self-service requires users to undergo proper training for working with biological samples in the laboratory, or training with the selected microscope. With the subsequently received certificates, the users can reserve working time in the booking system and thus have unlimited access to the Biophotonics laboratories. 

Users agree that the results will only be used for independent research purposes and will not be disclosed or sold to third parties.

External academic users

Users from faculties and academic environments other than BUT and CEITEC BUT who want to use the laboratory (by themselves (self-service) or with the assistance of an employee (full-service)) must prove their affiliation to an academic institution.

Commercial users

Commercial users typically order sample preparation, measurement services and data analysis (optional) to be processed by CEITEC BCF staff. The users may be present as visitors under the supervision of authorized personnel during the measurements. Another possibility is they can undergo training and perform the measurements independently.
