CEITEC PhD School
CEITEC PhD School is an innovative, interdisciplinary, fast-growing, and internationally-oriented programme based on a strategic partnership of leading universities and research institutes in the region that are part of the CEITEC research centre. Thanks to their cooperation the CEITEC PhD School offers access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and training in an interdisciplinary scientific community.
The aim of the CEITEC PhD School is to provide students from around the world with an opportunity to get an education in contemporary scientific disciplines – with the standards of excellent foreign scientific institutions – in the inspiring environment of the city of Brno that has been long established as a city of science and biotechnology.

Student Committee
The CEITEC PhD Student Committee (CPC) is a student of the CEITEC group of students joining the six research institutes established to improve interdisciplinary cooperation, advance doctoral education, scientific advancements and nourish academic harmony.
Committee objectives include:
- Acting as a liaison to bridge the gap between students and the management of CEITEC.
- Student support and orientation
- Organizing social events (retreats and science mixers) to build cohesiveness within CEITEC
- CEITEC social networking and outreach activities in coordination with CEITEC PR team
- Coordinating scientific workshops, training to prepare graduate students for their future careers in collaboration with our Science and Strategy team

BRIDGE FUND for Student Interdisciplinarity
BRIDGE FUND is a fund addressed to CEITEC PhD students, which aims to further promote interdisciplinary projects between Life Sciences and Material Science at CEITEC. The proposed project must be focused on interdisciplinary research between two Research Programmes - one in Life Sciences and one in Materials Science. It means that a student will spend time in both laboratories. Students whose projects will be accepted will get stipend 10 000 CZK per month and 50 000 CZK lump sum for consumables per year.
